| 概要 | In Korea, there are three adoption systems – the adoption or the full adoption under Korean Civil Law and the adoption under ‘the Special Adoption Act’. The fact that there exists the Special Adoption Act other than the Civil Law can be said to be a major feature of Korean adoption laws. In particular, I speculate that the existence of ‘Family values (family consciousness)’ based on the paternal lineage principle has a big influence on this background. In this article, the main purpose is to analyze the current status of Korean adoption laws such as the legislation process of adoption laws, the content of adoption systems and the statistics of each system, including the relationship with the family values, and also discuss future issues. |
